About Me
Larissa is an award-winning actress and producer, who originally trained at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. Her time on set, both for TV and Film, has been invaluable and gives her a unique, sensitive approach as a producer.
Her experience has included her among the casts of famed directors like Michael Bay including actors Colm Meaney, David Costabile and Alfred Molina. She is also the founder and director of Nokkla Productions which operates both in Malta and the UK.
As a producer, she champions powerful stories with women at the center. After production-managing a series of films in Malta, she found a passion for work behind the camera and commenced her studies in producing at the London Film Academy. She produced the short film Noah starring Louisa Harland (Derry Girls, Renegade Nell), which screened at BAFTA and OSCAR-affiliated festivals. Her film Morning Star featuring Ben Lamb, (The Gilded Age) funded by Screen Malta and the Malta Tourism Authority, is currently screening at international festivals and already garnering awards.
She had the pleasure to produce and co-direct a campaign video for the Calzy Foundation which is tirelessly working to establish a 24/7 emergency mental health crisis helpline.
Larissa has two short films in post-production and multiple feature film and TV projects on her development slate, including the documentary "La Force des Femmes" that celebrates Moroccan Women's Resilience with the support of Souad Dibi from the Association Feminine El Khir.
Nokkla Productions has recently secured a development grant from Northern Ireland Screen for its debut feature film.
